Avatar Selection[]

After playing the tutorial, the player is instructed to choose an avatar.

choosing one avatar will disable the possibility to get the starter card monster for the other avatars.

Other than the avatar-specific monster, the differences between the avatars is quite minor, although still present. The avatars do have differences in their decks other than their own special card, and it is generally related to what that avatar is designed around, so the Necromancer gains more tricky spells and effects, the Warrior gains higher power cards and the Crusader gains better defensive cards.

As a newer player, you might be worried about the knock-on effect of picking an avatar that clashes with your play-style, this is not very important, as the decks can be very quickly and easily moulded, so don't worry about picking the right one for your playstyle. Even the avatar-specific monster can be aquired far later in the game.
